Bhopal Orthodox Cathedral - Church has 560 membership and this is the
largest Church in Calcutta Diocese in India. Cathedral celebrated
"Golden Jubilee Year in 2007". It's first Vicar Rev. Fr. Punnoose,
later became the Metropolitan of Kolkata Orthodox Diocese
.His Grace Dr. Stephanos Mar Theodosius.
Now he is no more, he left to heavenly abode on Nov.5, 2007 in Muscat.
Bhopal St. Thomas Orthodox Cathedral has about 8 acre land at
Canaan Garden, Rishipuram area in Bhopal where we have "Orthodox Center" and it has M. G. M. Hr. Sec. Co-Ed School and a newly built "Medical Center" with the sponsorship from
Kuwait Orthodox Church. Bhopal St. Thomas Orthodox Cathedral has a Chapel at
Kolar Road - St. Gregorios Orthodox Church.
