Metropolitan Dr. Geevarghese Mar Osthathios started the Karunya Bhavan in Kattela, Sreekariyam Trivandrum  on 11 December 1993. This is a center that takes care of poor patients who have fatal diseases like cancer.50 room building is being constructed for the Vishranthi Bhavan.
