A great philanthropist Rev. Ezhakadavil Georgekutty who later became Geevarghese Mar Osthatheous Metropolitan initiated the St.Pauls brotherhood in the Indian Orthodox Church by rallying a group of dynamic young men to preach the "god's word" to the most suppressed, oppressed and the depressed. The brotherhood's motto is "Love thy neighbour as thyself"

St.Paul's Brotherhood is involved in several activities in  Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Orissa. Under the guidance of  Very Rev.Thomas Ramban ,Very Rev.Philipose Ramban and Very Rev.Yoohanon Ramban the brotherhood is thriving offering humanitatary services to the needy and helpless.
